What is The Lovely It Girl and how did it come to be? The Lovely It Girl is a personal brand consulting boutique in New York dedicated to inspiring and empowering women to become the “It” girls they were born to be, and style personal and professional lives they love.

I started The Lovely It Girl to pursue my personal mission to redefine the modern “It” girl: a girl who wants it all, does it all, and has it all, all on her own terms. I believe personal branding is a process of becoming the “It” girl you were born to be from the inside out, and love helping women professionals and entrepreneurs clarify and communicate their unique “It”s through my one on one consulting and monthly group classes.

What did you do before? I’m currently still working full-time in corporate marketing at Condé Nast. My goal is to transition to The Lovely It Girl full-time within the next year or so.

What did you think you’d be doing now whenever you were 10? Fashion designer!

Is The Lovely It Girl your dream job? If not, what else is in the works? Yes! I’m so grateful that I’ve found my “It” so early on in life and truly love everything about running The Lovely It Girl, from networking to writing blog posts to working with clients and running my monthly personal branding class.

Are you involved in any side hustles, ladypreneur collabs or baby projects? Tell us about them.  I’m currently working on some exciting collaborations with fabulous women’s networks in New York including Levo League, FemCity and Elevate Gen Y. I’m also planning an end of summer soireé in New York, which will be invitation-only for The Clique newsletter subscribers (sign up for The Clique newsletter here.)

The Grind

What does your daily routine consist of? Early morning yoga class. Chocolate vegan protein shake. Emails. Social Media. Meetings with new clients, potential clients, or strategic partners. More emails. More social media. Blog post. Networking event or drinks with a new “It” girl connection. Dinner with my boyfriend. Guilty pleasure show to unwind (I’m currently re-watching Sex and the City).

How do you balance work and life and is that actually even possible? Building my business alongside my full-time job I’ve learned to take my “me time” very seriously! If I don’t get enough sleep, exercise, nutritious food and “unplugged” time with people I love, my work with suffer. Not only do all of the above provide me with the energy I need, but they are also essential for maintaining constant creativity in my work.

You have to do it and you hate it – what is your least favorite task to do at The Lovely It Girl? Accounting! I am not a numbers person so learning how to manage my business finances has been a learning curve to say the least!
