Work Space Style

Your office space style in a few words: Inspired and fun.

How does your office décor inspire your work?We design beautiful party products, so we want to be surrounded by a beautiful, cheery and inspirational party atmosphere at all times! We love having fun places to display our products in little nooks around the office: a bar cart, a faux mantle, a china cabinet, and a living room area.

What are a few pieces in your space that you can’t live without? (We’re loving your cute bar cart, by the way!) Our bar cart makes us happy! One of our team members gifted us a decanter for the bar cart with a custom made brass label that’s hand-stamped with our motto: “Party On!” We also love our yoga ball. It’s the best for a mid-afternoon stretch break.

We spy Herman Miller! Who’s the HM fan and why? We use the Herman Miller Sayl office chair, which actually is more sustainably made than many other office chairs, plus we love the sleek HM design. We had some other vintage HM chairs on loan to us by Adaptations Vintage Store, our amazing downstairs neighbor! They are a navy blue fiberglass shell chair.

Is your work space to host clients or mostly just a space for you all to work? Does this have an effect on the décor? We wanted our space to be comfortable and fun. The colors are bright and bold, but we pared them down with white walls and kept the wooden ceiling exposed. Our whole design team did an amazing job of making it feel like work and play, which is very typical of our company as a whole. We work hard, but at the end of the day, our company is about creating fun. As I always say: to change the world, throw a better party

Being that you guys are Susty Party and all, are parties held in your space often? We’ve had some small shindigs in the office among ourselves, including a dance workout party, some champagne-popping celebrations with business partners, and mini-feasts to celebrate among ourselves when we hit milestones. We have some major plans in the works too!

Brooklyn is one of our favorite burroughs. What made you choose Brooklyn as your office home? We both live in Brooklyn, and we love it! We bike to work, have a gorgeous view of the Manhattan skyline, and the super vibrant neighborhood of Greenpoint is just outside our door. Outside of work, there’s never enough time to indulge in all the incredible activities and sights that Brooklyn has to offer. Plus there’s a strong entrepreneurial and creative culture here, with a lot of love for music, art, and sustainable, delicious food and drink!

Ladypreneur Living

At age 10, what did you think you’d be doing at your current age? Living as a famous actress, writer, and hosting my own nature documentary on TV.

You have to do it and you hate it – what is your least favorite task to do operating Susty Party? Giving any sort of negative feedback sucks. But I’m learning that it’s crucial to be honest, and constructive.
