My mother and I co-founded Knotty Gal, an accessories business that helps support education for girls in Bangladesh. Nearly all of our accessories incorporate knots (hence the "punny" name!) and every piece is handmade right here in the US!

It seems surreal to be able to say I'm working my dream job, because for the longest time it wasn't that way. Before deciding to pursue Knotty Gal full-time, I was working as a management consultant. It was a great learning experience, but it just wasn't my passion. I have an academic background in international development, and I've always known I wanted to pursue something in that field, but I've also always wanted to work in a creative space. Knotty Gal was the perfect way to incorporate everything I care about, and I am so blessed to be able to do this as my day gig! BUT if Knotty Gal were not in my life, I'd probably want to work at VICE, the HBO news series. If they asked me to, I'd be happy just to be able to get them their coffee!!

This quote is one of my favorites because it's so relevant to both my personal and professional life. I'm a huge believer in the importance of building meaningful relationships, and to me, this quote just hits the nail on the head about how to do just that. Love Maya Angelou!



Well, I'm not quite sure if I would call myself "awesome" but I think if there's one thing I'd like to be thought of for, it's Knotty Gal! Knotty Gal has been a long time in the making, and it has been and continues to be a true labor of love. A portion of all proceeds from the sale of our accessories goes to provide educational resources for impoverished girls at the Bhandari Girls' School in Bogra, Bangladesh. It's been such an exciting journey so far, and I really hope we can continue this wild ride and be successful in helping improve the quality of education these girls in Bangladesh receive.
